Males & Females have different goals when it comes to burning belly fat. Belly fat is the most stubborn fat which piles up on your body very easily but takes a lot of time when you indulge in a structured plan to eliminate/burn it. Most of us assume that only fat /bulky people have belly fat. Think people also have fat on their stomach. Although it is very well evident that for burning fat you have to focus on burning overall body fat. Most of the gym & fitness trainers would guide you to focus on burning overall fat which is not completely true. Passion for Fitness has a clearly chalked out strategy to burn that stubborn fat on your stomach.

We have been telling this to all our clients, subscribers & community members that nutrition is the prime factor that help you achieve your fitness goals. Going to gym & sweating it out is really easy however the real fitness happens in Kitchen:

Follow the following steps & I am sure you will be able to get rid of that stubborn fat on your stomach:

  • Maintain negative energy balance: Eat healthy- having a nutrient dense diet which makes you feel full with fewer calories. However just eating healthy will not help in weight loss. You have to indulge in a structured working/exercises to burn the calories you have consumed. Briefly consume nutrient dense food & burn more calories.
  • Eat healthy snacks between your main meals: Burning fat does not mean consuming less. Eat in sufficient quantity in line with your fitness goals. Having mid snack meals does not makes you feel hungry. It also reduces your desire for food/junk cravings.
  • Consumption of complex carbohydrates & good fats: To get fat stomach, you do not need to eliminate carbohydrates & fat from your diet. Carbs & fats are vital macronutrients for growth of body. Make alterations in your diet & shift from simple carbs to complex carbs( example shift from white rice to brown rice) & from bad fats to good fats( dalda/refined oil to olive oil)
  • Consume more protein: Protein consumption is important for muscle repair & recovery. However, it is worthy enough to note that protein also helps in fat loss.   • Indulge in HIIT: High intense interval training is great cardio vascular exercises & helps you create calorie deficit. Check out my blogs on how HIIT aids in weight/fat loss here 
  • Weight training: Weight training not only helps to build muscles but also aids in fat loss. HIIT &/or steady  state cardio coupled with weight training ensure that you do not break your muscles during the fat burning process.
  • Sufficient sleep: Having less sleep results in weight gain & slows down your metabolism which essentially leads to more fat  storage in the body. Having 6 to 7 hours of sleep everyday would expedite the process of fat burning.
